The Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) previously known as the Special Tertiary Admissions Test is a national test designed to assess aptitude for learning in a tertiary environment. It doesn't require knowledge on specific academic subjects. It can provide a means of entry to a tertiary institution for mature age applicants who do not have other formal entry requirements.
