WACE
This message tells you whether or not you have achieved the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
Course Data
Includes all WACE ATAR courses for which you have a scaled score.
Scaled Score
This lists your final scaled scores for your ATAR courses. The School Curriculum and Standards Authority will provide you with
a report which shows your marks at each stage of their adjustment.
Note: Scaled scores for WACE ATAR courses are not the same as WACE course scores issued by the
School Curriculum and Standards Authority. Only scaled scores can be used in the calculation of the ATAR.
Competence in English
This message tells you whether or not you have satisfied the university's competence in English requirement.
Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
Your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a number which reports your position relative to other students.
For example an ATAR of 70.00 indicates that you have performed better than 70% of the Year 12 school
leaver age population. ATARs below 30 are not reported. The ATAR is calculated in two steps.
First, TISC calculates your Tertiary Entrance Aggregate (TEA) by adding your best 4 scaled scores
* plus, if applicable, 10% of your
best scaled score in one LOTE (Language Other Than English) course from 2016 or later, 10% of your scaled score in Mathematics: Methods and
10% of your scaled score in Mathematics: Specialist.
Second, each TEA is then converted to an ATAR using a method which includes consideration of the number of students with a TEA and the total WA
population of Year 12 school leaver age. This preserves your rank position as measured by your TEA. A summary of the TEA to ATAR conversion is
on TISC's
website.

ATAR/Selection Rank
Based on additional criteria, Edith Cowan University, Curtin University, Murdoch University, The University of Notre Dame Australia and The University of WA may assign to you a Selection Rank that is higher than your ATAR for
admission to their courses. If this applies to you, your Selection Rank for the particular university is shown. In all other cases, your Selection Rank is your ATAR.
Eligibility for University Courses
The requirements to be considered for a course at the universities are detailed
here.
Note: Satisfying admission requirements is not an indication that you will receive
an offer to any particular course. Selection for particular courses is subject to course
prerequisites, having a competitive ATAR or Selection Rank for that course and any other course-specific criteria.
ATARs for university courses can be found
here.
