Academic entry pathways
You may meet ECU's academic requirements through one of the following pathways, depending on your qualifications and experience. ATAR
If you achieve the required ATAR and meet any subject prerequisites, you may be eligible for entry into your chosen course. If you've attended a school on our ECU Access List, your selection rank may be adjusted upwards. If your ATAR doesn't meet entry requirements for the course you've chosen, you could be eligible to apply through our Experienced Based Entry Scheme or the Creative Humanities Portfolio Entry pathways. Alternatively, you could apply for a course with a lower ATAR requirement or consider our UniPrep Course. Vocational Education and Training
Completion of a Certificate IV may be considered for entry to some undergraduate courses. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma may also be considered for entry and may provide Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning (CRPL). For further information on CRPL please visit ecu.edu.au/future-students/course-entry/credit-and-recognition-of-prior-learning. University Preparation Course (UniPrep)
If you satisfy minimum English requirements, you may like to consider our UniPrep course as a pathway to undergraduate study. On successful completion, you're eligible to be considered for entry to most undergraduate courses at ECU, subject to you also meeting any course-specific requirements. We make every effort to offer ECU UniPrep graduates a place in their preferred course, however some courses are extremely popular with limited places and offers for these courses are made on a competitive basis. UniPrep is available on-campus and online and is typically free to domestic students, who are usually eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. For more information, visit ecu.edu.au/degrees/courses/university-preparation-course. Experience Based Entry Scheme (EBES)

Campuses
ECU has campuses at Joondalup and South West (Bunbury), as well as ECU City in the Perth CBD. Study Options
Many courses are available on-campus and online. Part-time study is also available, allowing students to undertake a reduced study load. Course information
Course details and availability can be found via the TISC Course Search facility or on the ECU website (ecu.edu.au). Some courses are highly competitive and have limited places. Where this occurs, eligible applicants are ranked and offers are made on a competitive basis, not solely on meeting minimum entry requirements. Deferral of an offer
If you're offered a place you can apply to defer your offer for up to one year, subject to the course being available in the desired academic period.
