International Student Admissions Test (ISAT)
What is ISAT?The International Student Admissions Test (ISAT) has been produced by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) to give an indication of the general academic abilities of international students applying for undergraduate courses at Australian universities.
ISAT is a three hour multiple-choice test. ISAT is not a test of subject-specific knowledge. It is a valid, secure selection tool that measures general academic abilities considered important for coping with the intellectual demands of most tertiary courses. It aims to assess candidates’ critical and quantitative reasoning skills.An ISAT result is required for applications to:
ISAT is available for prospective students who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
Enrolments must be made online at www.acer.edu.au/tests/university/isat/intro.html. A functional email address is critical for online registrations.
