Deferred Student

If you deferred your studies to commence in February 2009, please note the following.

If your deferred place is from Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University or Murdoch University , and it is your only preference this year, you must apply direct to the university concerned. Please submit a copy of the deferral letter from the university concerned along with any supporting documentation.

If your deferred place is from The University of Western Australia, and it is your only preference this year, you must re-register and lodge an application through TISC. In these circumstances, you are not required to submit any supporting academic documentation with your application. All that you are required to submit with your application web coversheet is a copy of the deferral letter which the university would have sent you this year.

If you also wish to apply for another course at any of the universities, you must apply through TISC. In these circumstances, you will need to provide any supporting academic documentation with your application. TISC does not retain supporting documentation from one admissions year to another. Please submit a copy of the deferral letter from the university concerned along with any supporting documentation.

You can put your deferred course anywhere in your list of preferences. If it is not possible to offer you a higher preference, your deferred course will be re-offered to you. You will not be offered any course that you place lower than your deferred course. Should you require further details on how the preference system works, please refer to "Offers of Admission".

You are still guaranteed your deferred course as long as you apply for the deferred course before the closing dates.
