Curtin University of Technology has advised that the following courses will be offered in 2009:

Amended Courses

Edith Cowan University has amended the requirements for the following:

The course prerequisites for Digital Media at its Mt Lawley Campus are a TEE mathematics subject or a TEE science subject or TEE Information Systems or at least 145 in the STAT Quantitative component.

Edith Cowan University has advised that:

For its off campus course Health Science (EOHSC), the following major areas of study will be available for off campus study: Addiction Studies, Health Promotion, and Occupational Safety and Health.

Nursing/Midwifery (double degree) (EJSNC) will not start until second semester 2009. Applicants should apply through TISC and this course will be included in main round and second round offers in January/February. Classes will not commence until July 2009.

Curtin University of Technology has advised that the following amendments to course information:

The Indicative TER for Engineering/Commerce (CUEWC) is 90.00.
Human Communication Science (CUHSC) has changed its name to Speech Pathology. The course code remains the same. The Indicative TER is now 80.00.
The following prerequisites for Mining Engineering at Bentley (CUKEC) and Kalgoorlie Campuses (CKKEC) are now required for 2009 admission: Applicable Mathematics, Physics, and Calculus or Chemistry.
The prerequisites for Health Sciences (CUHIC) are now: None.  One TEE mathematics, a TEE science subject and Human Biology are desirable.
The prerequisites for Health Information Management (CUHAC) are now: None. One TEE mathematics, a TEE science subject and Human Biology are desirable.
Laboratory Medicine (CUHVC) at Bentley Campus will not be offered for external study in 2009. It will be offered as full-time or part-time only.

Curtin University of Technology has advised the following change to its Bachelor of Arts (Art) (CUAAC):
'Prerequisites: All applicants to the Bachelor of Arts (Art) must be interviewed.

All TISC applicants will receive an invitation to interview in November using the mailing address registered with TISC. Interviews are held in early December and the invitation to interview will outline all the required information, including arrangements for alternative times and alternatives for distance applications. If you are applying outside of the TISC round OR have changed your preferences to include this course, you should contact the Department of Art to arrange an interview time.

Curtin University of Technology has advised the following change to its Nursing (Qualified) Conversion Program for Registered Nurses course (CUHQC):

To be considered for this course applicants must have completed a Diploma of Nursing (hospital based) in Australia, and be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia OR applicants who have international qualifications must have a three-year diploma in nursing (Australian Qualifications Framework) equivalence as required by the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia; with current registration from the Nurses and Board of home country or if home country does not have a Nurses Board, evidence of work experience as a staff/registered nurse in a hospital is required.

Curtin University of Technology has advised that the following courses will only be available for enrolment in Semester 1, 2009 and will not be available for deferral in 2009:

Surveying/Commerce (Entrepreneurship) (CUQDC) at its Bentley campus
Geographic Information Science/Commerce (Property) (CUQBC) at its Bentley campus
Geographic Information Science/Geography (CUQGC) at its Bentley campus
Computer Science/Business Administration (CUEJC) at its Bentley campus
Environmental Biology/Social Science (CUSRC) at its Bentley campus

The University of Western Australia has advised two amendments to its Science table, as displayed on the TISC website:

The major Archaeology is not offered as part of the Bachelor of Science (3 year) course (UASCC) by the Albany Centre.
Footnote # 6 which stated that 'TEE Chemistry is required to commence this major sequence at the Albany Centre' has been removed from the Science table.
